The Wonderful World of Massage
Mmmm....massage. The wonderful art of kneading, rolling, stroking, pressing and drumming to relieve fatigue, improve circulation. reduce pain and impart a sense of tranquility and well-being. mmmmmmmm......If there is one thing I can be sure of, if I were living in a perfect world, I would have a personal masseuse, guaranteed. And if possible it would be me! :-) For the time being, a couple of massages a month certainly help. I recommend you too try it.
Therapeutic Massage
A firm, penetrating massage using a variety of Swedish and Chinese Tui-Na techniques to restore joint mobility and break up hardened tissue and knots. The massage will normally focus on one or two specific areas.
Swedish Massage
A relaxing full body massage to give you time to unwind, drift off and restore a sense of well-being. I use aromatherapy oil from the exclusive French house Darphin to uplift and delight the senses.
Deep Oscillation Therapy
A new and innovative physical therapy that combines technique with technology. The Hivamat 200 is a German-engineered device that delivers a penetrating electromagnetic impulse across all layers of cutaneous tissue (skin, fat, lymph, connective tissue and muscle) to deliver a full-depth massage without any of the pain that can sometimes be associated with deep massage. Using special gloves and gentle massage techniques, Hivamat 200 Deep Oscillation Therapy is especially indicated for chronic pain, rheumatism, ME, MS, arthritis, and recent injuries, including whiplash.
Transdermal Magnesium Therapy
One of the myriad biological roles of magnesium is the relaxation of muscle fibres. A lack of magnesium is often observed as hard, tight muscles, teeth grinding, tense jaw and cramp. Magnesium supplements are one of my most commonly recommended for maintaining overall health. This novel therapy involves massage using 'magnesium oil', a highly concentrated magnesium sulphate solution. The skin absorbs the magnesium directly, allowing it to be transported immediately to the muscle cells. This helps muscles relax on a biochemical level, not only biomechanical (ie: through massage techniques).
